Penn State true freshman offensive lineman Nana Asiedu has had his football career cut short by a genetic heart condition.Asiedu announced in a tweet late Wednesday night that he has hypertrophic cardiomyopathy and can no longer play the sport. He added that Nittany Lions coach James Franklin is still honoring his football scholarship.”This hurts because football was my everything but god has other plans for me,” Asiedu said in his Twitter statement. “With love and support [from] Coach Franklin and the Penn State staff I’ll still be on full football scholarship and still be [a part] of the team in every aspect!!
